Diablo 4 Gear: How To Always Be Best Equipped
In Diablo 4, you'll find a wealth of equipment. If you've ever wondered whether the gear you've picked up is better than what you're currently wearing, then you're in the right place. We'll show you how to determine whether your found equipment is better or worse than your current gear.
So, how many hours of Diablo 4 do you have under your belt? No matter how many, you've found probably found hundreds if not thousands of pieces of loot. Keeping track of everything in this jungle of items is challenging enough. And now you're supposed to find the best gear for your character amidst all this mess.
But don't worry, unlike the creatures in Diablo 4, you don't need to lose your head because we'll show you how to identify the best equipment.
Let's start with the basic requirement. All the equipment you've picked up can be found in your inventory. The items are automatically sorted from left to right in your inventory, with the most recently found ones appearing in the bottom row.
As you progress further into the world of Diablo 4, you'll find better and rarer equipment items. You can easily determine if the newly found items (weapons, armor, rings, etc.) truly improve your character.
Note: The first two indicators primarily apply to beginners and the early stages of the game. For more experienced players and advanced gameplay, we have the ultimate tip in the lower segment.
The most obvious indicator of whether your found equipment is better or worse is the stat comparison. When you select an equipment item in your inventory, you'll see either a red or green number light up. Green indicates that the new item promises an improvement, such as more damage for weapons or more defense for armor. It's self-explanatory that "red" means the exact opposite.
Especially at the beginning of the game when you find a variety of "ordinary" consumables, this stat comparison can be very helpful in steadily increasing your attack and defense.
This comparison is particularly important for rings and amulets because they don't display red or green numbers in the stat comparison. Here, comparing the prices can help.
The higher the price of a ring or amulet, the better abilities the accessory holds. This way, without having to compare individual values for a long time, you can equip the more valuable and therefore better gear item.
Those were our tips for beginners.
The more magical and rare items you find, the more specific the abilities they grant you. For that, it's worth taking a closer look to make a validated comparison. One setting will particularly help you.
Now, here's our expert tip. In the game options, under the "Gameplay" tab, you have the option to expand the tooltip features. Simply select the "Advanced Tooltip Comparison" and "Advanced Tooltip Information" checkboxes, activate them, and save the changes.
Return to the game, open your inventory, and select the desired magical/rare item. You'll see that the abilities are compared in the smallest detail. In the lower third, you can even see which properties would be lost in a potential exchange.
With these tips, you'll surely find the optimal equipment. Now you just need some luck that the enemies drop good loot for you.
We wish you good luck and continued fun with Diablo 4.
