The 2023 Honda CL500 name harkens back to the 1960s. Honda has geared the CL500 down from the Rebel for a touch more pull. The 2023 Honda CL500 gets larger-diameter wheels and longer-travel suspension than the Rebel, befitting an off-road motorcycle. The longer-travel suspension raises the CL500's seat height considerably compared to the Rebel. Honda put a higher, wider handlebar on the CL500. The seat is designed for sitting and standing. The footpegs have rubber inserts for street riding. Era-appropriate knee pads adorn the 3.2-gallon fuel tank. The 2023 Honda CL500's exhaust isn't true to the scrambler genre. Compared to the Rebel, the CL500 has the rake tucked in a degree to 27 degrees, and the CL500 weighs nine pounds more than the ABS version of the Rebel 500.
