Concerts coming to Upstate NY: Dierks Bentley, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Weezer, more

More and more concerts are being announced in Upstate New York as warmer months approach.

Country star Dierks Bentley will play the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on July 28 as part of his 2023 "Gravel & Gold" tour dates. Jordan Davis and The Cadillac Three will open at 7 p.m.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 17 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. A fan club presale will begin Tuesday, March 14 at 10.

Speaking of country, Kip Moore is scheduled to perform at the Kodak Center in Rochester on Sept. 21. The Cadillac Three will open the show at 8 p.m.

Toad the Wet Sprocket is coming to Lincoln Hill Farms in Canandaigua, N.Y., on June 22 for the alt-rock group's "All You Want Tour." "Sex & Candy" rockers Marcy Playground will open the show at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, March 9, at 10 a.m. through tixr.com.

Toad the Wet Sprocket, best known for the 1991 hit "All I Want" and the "Friends" soundtrack song "Good Intentions," split in the ‘90s but reunited in 2006. The band features founding members Glen Phillips, Todd Nichols and Dean Dinning.

Weezer will headline the new Cave Mountain Catskills Festival, scheduled for Sept. 15-16 at the Windham Mountain ski area. Other performers include Joe Russo's Almost Dead, Dinosaur Jr., Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Albert Hammond Jr., Lee Fields, Courtney Marie Andrews, and Sheer Mag.

Tickets for the Catskills music festival go on sale Friday, March 10 through Ticketmaster and cavemountainmusicfest.com

Weezer, an alternative rock band led by Rivers Cuomo, is also scheduled to perform July 3 at CMAC (Constellation Brands Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center) in Canandaigua with special guests Future Islands and Joyce Manor.

Citizen Cope is bringing "All the Songs You Want to Hear" to The Egg at Empire State Plaza in Albany on May 16. The solo acoustic show will reportedly feature songs from the folk-rock singer-songwriter's decades-long career.

And Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Dan Navarro is returning to Syracuse for an April 21 performance at the 443 Social Club & Lounge. Local artist Just Joe will open the show at 7 p.m.

Tickets start at $15 through eventbrite.

Navarro is a longtime musician who's worked with Eric Lowen for artists like Pat Benatar ("We Belong"), The Bangles, Jackson Browne, The Temptations, and Dionne Warwick. When Lowen retired in 2009, Navarro transitioned to a solo career as a folk rock artist, releasing his first album "Shed My Skin" in 2019. Navarro is also a cousin of Dave Navarro (Jane's Addiction), a voice actor in movies like "Rio," "Pirates of the Caribbean 5," "Ice Age," and "Sing 2," and performed on six Lin-Manuel Miranda songs in last year's hit Disney film "Encanto," including the Oscar-nominated song "Dos Oruguitas" and as part of the group vocal for "We Don't Talk About Bruno" and "The Family Madrigal."
