GRAND CHUTE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Current and past Green Bay Packers players challenged each other at the annual Donald Driver softball game Sunday, at the Fox Cities Stadium.

Special guests included Jordy Nelson, and comedian Charlie Berens.

Many fans were excited to see Packers Legends take the field.

"I’m excited to see my lifelong hero, Jordy Nelson," says Trenton Relien. "I’m coming here to see my best friend, Donald Driver," says Kyle Wegner.

While others were excited to see some of their favorite current players out on the field.

"Aaron Jones," says Edward Fay.

Some Packers fans come to this game every year as a tradition.

"I’ve been here five years with Donald Driver celebrity softball game, they’re fun," says Wegner.

"This should be the fourth straight year," says Relien.

But for others, they are excited to see the players take on a different sport for the first time.

"It's our first year, my brother in law works for the Packers, so he got us the tickets this year," says Alora Kuehn.

"I’ve never been to this, this is my first time," says Noah Emond.

People at the game say they appreciate how Driver still gives back to the community.

"You know it's good, good for the community, come around donate to his charity and this and that, and it's fun watching them play," says Relien.

Fans at Sunday's game say this event makes them even more excited for the Packers season.

"Definitely just the shift and changes, it’ll be interesting to see how it all works out," says Ava Sanders.

Many Packers fans say they are excited to see what Jordan Love can do for the team this year.

"I’m excited to see how well they play for the new quarterback," says Emond.

"You never know what's going to happen with the Love show in Green Bay," says Wegner.

And all have their hopes up for a good season.

"For them to go 0 and 17," says Relien.

With one goal in mind.

"Make it to the Super Bowl," says Fay.

As far as the softball game goes….the Current Packers defeated the Packers Legends 12-11.
